Your week is off to a great start with the soulful new release from Maverick Sabre. The Irish-London singer/rapper has been on our radar ever since his collaboration ‘Slow Down’ with Jorja Smith back in 2019. We still listen to the song to this day. Maverick is known for his ability to blend soul, R&B, hip-hop and folk with alternative influences. After his 2025 album Burn The Right Things Down, he clearly wants to keep the fire going while it’s still burning.

The singer first grew up immersed in the Irish hip-hop scene, gaining attention as an MC and producer. Later he leaned more into his soulful singing voice, ultimately blending the two worlds together. This latest release, ‘8 Stages’, is no exception to that rule. In the song he tackles the eight stages of emotional growth, a theme Sabre often explores in his songwriting about relationships and self-reflection.

As of now, no new project has been announced, hinting that this might be a standalone single. After hearing this one, we can’t help but hope there is another album on the way.
