Nippa’s EP Homegrown is set to be released September 25th. With the project, he is ready to show the UK and, let’s be honest, the rest of the world why he deserves to become a household name in R&B. He grew up around the grime and rap culture of Tottenham, with artists like Skepta, JME and Headie One influencing his sound throughout his career. Initially, he wanted to become a rapper before realising his buttery, smooth voice was made for singing.

The second single promoting his upcoming EP is the Jordan Ward collaboration ‘Kacey’. This one is special. Yes, it’s first and foremost R&B, as expected. But on this track, he playfully blends in the music he grew up hearing at home. His mum and grandmother played a lot of lovers’ rock, and we love how that influence shines through on this romantic offering. This collaboration is a pitch-perfect moment that has us longing for the full project.
