Whether it’s a song we believe you may have missed or a true blast from the past that once dominated the charts, these moments are here to remind us what today’s music is built on. We celebrate the hits of today — and revisit yesterday’s best tunes, like the one below.

Jai Paul blew up thanks to his experimental track ‘BTSTU’. Back in 2011, a demo of the song surfaced online and quickly grabbed the attention of music lovers. Zane Lowe even named it the “Hottest Record in the World” on his radio show, pushing it to new heights. From there, major artists couldn’t wait to jump on the record and create their own versions of the now-timeless production. Rappers like G-Eazy and Drake recorded their own takes over the beat, largely leaving the original production as is. Later on, even Beyoncé sampled it on her song ‘End Of Time’. But our favorite adaptation? That belongs to Travis Garland and JoJo.

Travis Garland first stepped into the spotlight as part of the boyband NLT. After the group parted ways, he focused on solo work, releasing his debut album and building a name through a series of covers. His work gained industry attention, eventually leading him to write for — and even be sampled by — Beyoncé. JoJo, on the other hand, needs no introduction. Not long after ‘BTSTU’ surfaced, the two joined forces to dive into the studio and rework it into their collaboration ‘Paint’.

Respectfully, Travis and JoJo leave Jai Paul’s genius production untouched. Why change perfection? They even keep the iconic intro with Jai’s original vocals “Don’t fuck with me, don’t fuck with me.” Their version leans more into a commercial R&B and pop sound, while still holding onto the experimental hip-hop edge of the original. The result is a track that feels both accessible and boundary-pushing at the same time.

‘Paint’ is, without a doubt, one of the sexiest songs to ever be released. The lyrics leave little to the imagination. Travis takes on the opening of the song suggesting to paint the house in his old jeans, no t-shirt on, ending up rolling around in the paint making love in the mess they made. JoJo adds to the scene singing “Gotta secret for you underneath my overalls”. It is sexy, it is vulgar and it is everything you want while painting the house with your biggest crush.

Unfortunately the song never made it to the streaming platforms. It’s a true deepcut that’s only to be found on YouTube. It’s such a shame as ‘Paint’ sounds timeless and remains fresh all the way until today in 2026. Travis, Jojo and Jai - can we please get this released on our favorite streaming platforms? We promise we’ll stream it as if it’s a brand new release!
